Hive Monitoring

Hive monitoring is for beekeepers who want regular checks and clearer records without waiting for a problem to become obvious. During a monitoring visit we look at colony activity, brood pattern, stores, space, queen signs, pest pressure, temperament, entrance activity, and visible stress around the hive. The purpose is to give you a practical reading of the colony so you can decide what needs attention now, what can wait, and what should be watched on the next visit.

This service is useful for active apiaries, new hive owners, farms with several colonies, and anyone who cannot inspect consistently on their own. We focus on observations that lead to action, such as whether a hive needs more room, whether stores are low, whether the colony looks queenright, whether comb or equipment needs attention, and whether the site itself is creating avoidable pressure. Clear notes from each visit help track changes across the season.

The minimum fee is 30 dollars and covers monitoring for up to 3 hives. Any additional hive beyond the first 3 is charged at 10 dollars per hive. Before booking, share the number of hives, the apiary location, recent issues you have noticed, and whether you want a one time check or recurring monitoring at agreed intervals.
