Honey Harvesting
Honey harvesting support is for beekeepers who want to remove honey with less disruption to the colony and better control over handling. We help assess which hives are ready, identify frames that should remain for the bees, and work through the harvest in a calm sequence. The aim is not only to collect honey, but to protect brood areas, reduce unnecessary disturbance, keep the work clean, and leave the colony in a condition that supports recovery after the harvest.
The service can include checking hive readiness, preparing the working area, removing suitable honey frames, advising on basic hygiene, separating frames that should not be harvested, and helping you understand what the hive condition says about the season. We pay attention to colony strength, stores, temperament, weather, and the timing of the harvest. This is useful for small apiaries, new beekeepers, and anyone who wants guidance during a busy harvest day.
The minimum fee is 30 dollars and covers harvesting support for up to 2 hives. Any additional hive beyond the first 2 is charged at 15 dollars per hive. To prepare, confirm the number of hives, whether supers are fitted, when the hives were last inspected, and whether you have containers, protective clothing, smoker fuel, and a clean place to handle the frames.
